1965 Massey Ferguson 135
 
From the first year of production we have this little 135, it has been on a smallholding for many years and is very original
 
The tractor is the early type with rounded wings, hinged battery lid, swept front axle etc

The tractor starts up straight away with the smallest of flicks of the key and sounds good

The tractor pulls well on the road and steers nicely, all gears work correctly
 
The fluids are all in the correct places with no mixing
 
The dual clutch is working as it should as are the hydraulics and PTO
 
The brakes and handbrake work as they should 
 
The tinwork is good and has a nice aged patina to it
 
The clock is working and showing 8200 hours which looks about right by the pedal wear

The rear tyres look to be the original Good Year Diamonds, they have some cracking but add to the charm, the fronts are perfectly fine
 
I have no paperwork for the tractor, the serial plate is on the dash as it should be
 
The oil pressure is good and the engine sounds healthy
 
The tractor has been lightly cleaned but is still wearing some of its charm, this adds to the character of the tractor I believe
 
The only three faults I can find are on tick-over the clutch release bearing has a little chatter, this is only just noticeable if you stand next to it on tick-over and goes away when you press the clutch down, the headlights aren't working and also the fuel gauge seems a little sporadic!
