1950 Ferguson TED20 Tractor
 
This little Ferguson starts up very well on the key (converted from lever) and runs well
 
The engine is frost damage free with excellent oil pressure, 55psi when cold and drops to 30 when hot ticking over, it benefits from electronic ignition which helps them run a lot smoother
 
The oil and water are in right places with no mixing or frost damage
 
The previous owner chose to run this on straight petrol however it retains the twin tank and changeover tap etc
 
The clutch is nice and smooth, not sticky or juddery, the steering is nice too with no play
 
The rear tyres are excellent with loads of tread, the fronts have good tread but some age
related cracking (nothing needing addressing yet)
 
The tinwork has had a repaint a long time ago and has now mellowed back
 
The tractor charges through its new dynamo
 
The hydraulics and PTO work as they should
 
The brakes work well, the O/S/R is binding a little when first used but is getting better the
more I drive it
 
The tractor is road registered and live on the DVLA but sadly the V5 had been misplaced, this will need applying for using a V62 form (a simple task)
 
The serial plate is missing however I have a new one here and the original number so this is not a problem
