1942 John Deere Model H
This little tractor has a rare trailed mower with it, its bolts onto the drawbar with a trailing floating wheel and is driven off the PTO, a nice exhibit that fits on a normal Ifor Williams Trailer and light to move about. The tractor itself has been in a private John Deere Collection for many decades and was regularly shown at the Great Dorset Steam Fair, it is believe to be a genuine UK one from new but sadly cannot be backed up as I don't have any paperwork for the tractor. The tractor itself starts within a few turns of the flywheel and runs nice and smoothly , it drives well, the clutch engages as it should and locks off, it steers lovely, the brakes work tooThe serial plate is intact and legible which is unusual as most fell offThe tractor is full of coolant and runs well, I have only run it on petrol hereThe tyres have a few small age related marks but are effectively new and do not require attention
The oil pressure is very good and sits just above Medium on the gaugeThe paint is an older restoration that has been done well, the tractor has had the lettering done by hand by a signwriter, this is to an excellent standard and just sets it offA really nice unusual exhibit with the mower of these popular little John DeeresThe only fault I can find is the fuel tap drips occasionally and I haven't tested the mower but it looks good (there is a safety guard for the blades not photographed)Contact Ross - 07794746554Nationwide Delivery can be arrangedLocated Winchester - HampshirePart Exchange Welcome
