1939 Fordson Standard N

1939 Fordson Standard N - Harvest Gold

This tractor has been up in a barn in Darlington for many years in a collection and been shown occasionally
 
The tractor is a late 1939 Harvest Gold, it has had a Factory Fitted TR engine fitted which most Harvest Gold's did as they snapped crankshafts
 
The tractor has just had a reconditioned magneto fitted and starts within a few pulls of the handle and runs very well indeed

The clutch is average to good, drags a little when cold but fine once used a bit, the steering is good with a little play in the front axle as expected

The tinwork is lovely and original with no rot, the wing tops are a little battered but solid and show it's working life

There is a fair amount of harvest gold paint on the tractor
 
The tractor is full of oil and water with no mixing and no frost damage, the water pump drips very occasionally
 
The tractor has the 2243 transmission, low top, there is no paperwork or number plate with the tractor
 
The rear tyres are the originals, a little cracked but give a nice look, the fronts are good
 
A nice looking tractor ready to be enjoyed
